I'm a software developer looking to focus on the design specifications for a non-profit venture, while outsourcing much of the development work. At this stage I would like to estimate development costs for fund raising. The project is to create a website where users can analyse portions of text content into a relational hierarchy. The front-end would provide tools for this process and display analysed text, including a chart showing related nodes based on priority and selected filters. The backend would need some heavy data management as there are expected to be many text relationships with results customised per user, while needing to keep the site responsive to view changes. I'm considering F# because of its data handling and the way it encourages focusing on the design, WebSharper as an integrated extension of F# client side with a reactive UI and MS SQL as a reliable data store. I would like to find out how much interest there is, especially with this technology set, and what costs to expect.
