I would like the logo to convey what are business does. Which is automate 'commercial buildings downtown' and makes their system 'smart' and 'green.' This is by 'connecting' their heating, cooling, lighting, and anything else to a smart system for control and automation. The color scheme isn't a huge concern as much as the design is.
