Hello,
I have an algorithm for prevention of Network failures, that need to be simulated: it is a simulation of a real network, to check how the algorithm applies. Simulation should be done in C++ and in Windows OS.
Language Specific, C++ / C, Networking, Network Design, Network Implementation, Hardware
Basically, I have written a heurisitc for an algorithm to prevent Shared Risk Link Group (SRLG) failures in networks (Optical). I have developed a failure dependent protection approach that assigns primary and backup paths to requests in order to tolerate any single-link failure in an optical grooming network with grooming architectures. The proposed approach reassigns a primary connection to its backup path only if a link failure affects the primary connection. What I would like is the simulation of a real network, to check how the algorithm applies. Later, I have to compare it with the results of already developed algorithms and how mine is better or worser than them (The comparison is not a part of this project, I will do it myself later).
The parameters that I am interested are in running time of the algorithm and bandwidth efficiency. They can also include Effective network utilization, average shortest path length etc..
Your network simulation should be designed according to my algorithm heuristic. I need 'numbers' - as in, my algorithm, when implemented, should give me the values of parameters like Average Running Time, Number of Iterations needed to calculate the Active and Backup paths in case of node failures etc.. You should basically give me a .exe file of the Simulation. The topologies used can be the number of nodes, number of Bi-Directed Edges, number of SRLG's, traffic etc.. I will give you the Heuristic algorithm if you need to check it before placing a bid.
Also, I have serious issues with time for the project. I need all work done in 4 weeks time.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
