Curve bitmap along a polygon

A function, module, class, or DLL to paint a bitmap of any size along an arbitrary curve, rotating/tiling/squeezing it as necessary to fit. If a DLL is supplied, it must come with source code, be callable from VB6, be compilable using Visual Studio 97, and come with an example of usage. Inputs: ------- Set of unlimited number of XY points Source picture hdc Destination picture hdc Width and height of the picture Origin of the source picture (a number from 0 to width) Outputs: ------- Routine will modify destination hdc directly, and return 0 if successful, or a number containing the error code. Details: -------- 1. The curve consists of a set of arbitrary xy points that might comprise any shape, including a circle, square, sine wave, square wave, handwriting, etc. 2. The curve might overlap itself; however, the point data will be suppled in the desired drawing order, so you can count on being able to calculate the angle from one point to the next. 3. The source bitmap can be any size, but will likely be 100x100 or smaller. 4. The algorithm should not stretch the bitmap pixels, only compress them along the interior angle of curves. 5. The bitmap should repeat in one direction as necessary until is brushed on the entire curve. 6. It should use antialiasing (no jaggies.) 7. A bitmap with a 'center' origin would follow the path down its center, a bitmap with a 'left' origin would hang off on the right side of the curve, and a bitmap with a 'right' origin would hang off the left side of the curve. (See attached picture. For example, if the supplied shape was a circle, a 'left' origin would cause the picture to stay inside the circle, a right origin would cause the picture to stay outside the circle, and a center origin would cause the picture to straddle the circle on both sides.) ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 95 or higher; anything VB6 might run on.
