Full description with examples in attachment. Summary: Create an Apache 2 Module that dynamically rewrites the web page name based on user preferences. The Mod may make use of mod_rewrite, mod_dbd and mod_authn_dbd, however this is up to the programmer and open for discussion. The purpose of this module is to serve web pages based on user preferences, including server-side includes. When authentication occurs, all fields from the user table need to be held in memory for the length of the user session. As well as username and password fields the user table may include any number of other fields. Rewrites need to occur for all URL’s with a filename ending in “.htpers?? When a filename ends in “.htpers?? the URL needs to be rewritten to replace a section of the filename which will match with a field name in the user table with the contents of that field, and then remove the “.htpers?? extension. The location of field names will be recognised by a prefix of “attr.?? in the filename. The “attr.?? will be removed from rewritten URL.
