We have a desktop software package (ezimerchant) which builds static shopping cart web pages for uploading to our online store.
[login to view URL]
ezimerchant retrieves product category HTML from its MS-Access database field called Category Description and suitably places that content it in the static page for each product category.
We wish to enhance the Category Description HTML to include more information from existing and new tables in the database. Examples of additional information to include in the Category Description HTML include:
* Category Title.
* Category overview information - in a scrolling frame.
* Category Image - consistent dimensions for all category images.
* Sub-category list and icons - in a scrolling frame.
* Media file hyperlink list and icons - in a scrolling frame.
The idea of the scrolling frames is to keep all the above listed content above the fold. The entire Category Description (built up of the Titles and three scrolling frames) needs to be constrained to approximately 70% of the browser window vertical size.
The Category Description (and included scrolling frames of content) need to auto size to available browser window width.
HTML is stored back in the database in Category Description field. It is then used by ezimerchant to biuld the static web pages during a build subsequent process within ezimerchant.
