C# .Net 1.1 Groupable ListView in Form (Updated)

**Project Need:** Create an example project using the listview control, called ObjectListView or similar (see Related documentation under platform) that connects to SQL Server 2000 and populates the control. The control will be sortable and groupable similar to how Microsoft Outlook listview control behaves. The control will also populate text fields when a row is selected. **Background:** Codeproject provides a nice example of listview control that is groupable. Their sample project and control source projects seem to be .Net 2 target. I am in need of example of how to do this in the .Net 1.1 world and would like an example application to show me how to populate this control from a real database. I have a technical background, but I am not a .Net developer. I am a Pharmacist. ## Deliverables **Requirements:** -VS 2003 C# application project with a target of .Net 1.1. The example project can be a Windows form application or class library application. -The ObjectListView control provides source and seems to be .Net 2, I need it to be able to work in a .Net 1.1 project. If the developer has a recommendation for another opensource listview control with Microsoft Outlook grouping, a url would need to be provided that demonstrates that is is equivalent or superior. Commercial listview controls would have to be within the project's budget if offered as an alternative. -Listview control must be in a form that is called from another form or from the class library. -Listview control must be populated from a SQL Server 2000 database -The list view should be sortable(ASC/DESC) by clicking on columns. -The grouping will be based on fields in the data plus special grouping for the date field. The other fields will be straight forward since they will be grouped on the value sorted. The date field grouping will be based on 'last week', last month, 'last 12 months', and 'greater than a year'. The initial listview setting will be ungrouped, sorted on the date descending -Data connection needs to be based off the example code provided in related documentation under the platform section. **Related Documentation:** -ObjectListView control information at the following. The example project list there is for VS2005 and shows an example of how to connect to an XML file and populate the list view. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform **Desktop Platform - **Windows XP** SQL Server 2000 -** A sample Microsoft SQL database will be supplied that will contain one table. Two versions of the sample are in the zip file. One is a backup copy that can be restored or the database file/log can be reattached.
