Configure IIS website to forward to a Virtual Directory

I have a website that needs to be redirected to a virtual directory in IIS7. The virtual directory is an application with its own App Pool. The website is not the default web site but its own separate one. A sub-domain with its own IP address is bound to the site but when you go to it using IE, the II7 default page appears. You have to enter the <[login to view URL]> in order to get the proper page to appear. I just want people to go to <[login to view URL]> and have them redirectored to the virtual folder. My guess is that you're probably looking at an hour of time at the most for this effort.
