Rough draft: ASPIRED. “Fill in the blank.” Aspired is a writing exchange platform. Improve your writing and get feedback. Bring in your ideas and learn from others. No matter if short story, articles, poetry, fiction or non-fiction novel. Your words start here. Aim: • Improve your writing • Get into contact with fellow writers • Gain popularity • Get noticed by publishers How it works: People can upload their written work. Then they can choose categories to decide what happens to their work in the process. Categories: • Open for discussion (public): Every registered user can read and comment on your work and vote for it. • Open for discussion (closed): Publish your work in a specific group of people to get feedback and votes. • Publishers corner: ASPIRED will aim to get into contact with publishers to create this feature. When users feel like they are ready to publish their work, they can upload it here and get bids. • Self-published: Publish your work as an e-book and choose the price-per-download yourself. ASPIRED will receive a one time publishing fee (?) and a pertenctage of your download revenues. You can book the money to your account at the end of every month. Once your work is published you may change the price. The Voting-System: Every registred user can vote on other people’s work. The more votes you get, the higher your work ranks in the specified category. Vote will not only be counted on your work, but also in total on your author’s profile. The Author’s Profile: Present yourself with basic or more detailed information to the community. Connect your profile with facebook, if you want your friends to know about your work. Or stay as anonymous as possible. The Starting Page: This page will feature the works with the highest votes. It will also feature random author profiles. You can choose between different categories through filters (e.g. short stories, novels, poetry) How to save your ideas: Never upload more than one chapter of your upcoming novel at a time. As soon as you publish your work in the Publisher’s Corner, it will not be visible to other user’s anymore. How the Feedbacking works: When a user reads a story on the screen, he can insert comments anywhere on the page. He can underline and add notes. At the end he can give an overall review.
