Data Parser

Parsing is at the heart of what we do at SocialCops. On a daily basis, the parsing team strategizes and executes on best practices for extracting and transforming data from any number of sources. You might be decoding parameters from internal APIs, web-scraping or parsing PDFs – all while learning a new Python library to better manipulate language inconsistencies, images et al. We are searching for a data parser to work with us on an ongoing basis on PDF and web scraping projects. Our data flows in from a number of unique sources and your task is to extract and structure the data outputs for our data analysis team. Data you parse might empower international donors to target investments in the field of agriculture (e.g. [login to view URL]) or allow government officials to create better budgets based on a broad analysis of a state's development indicators (e.g. [login to view URL]). We work with all types of data across different sectors and countries and need a parser who is up to the challenge.
