I know it we can use tar , that seems to work fine. That is what i currently use except I always forgot how to create the file and how to unzip it. What I would like is the ability to set a backup schedule and it would automatically do the backup every ## of days( I guess you could use cron???). It should create this backup with a main [login to view URL] ----- something like that. I would like it easy to be easy to setup the backup from a webbrowser. I would imagine you would have to use a ftp mod and username password, and I would think we could set it up to select the directorries, subdirecties, etc, keeping all permissions [login to view URL] would need to make sure we backup in the proper format, ascii. binary etc. I would imagine if we create a list of all of these backups we also download them after the backup local. This should be part of the management of the backups screen. We need to be able to manage these backups and delete, create new backup , restore ,download I would imagine this could be done easily? :)
