Web Filter / Firewall This project is for a web filtering solution that we're designing. The logic for the application is all based off a web application that we've already designed. **Basic Design Overview** The program we need developed will function similarly to a proxy server, by intercepting all HTTP/HTTPS traffic leaving the computer and then sending the URL to a web application (which will respond with another URL to redirect to, or an "OK" message, which would allow the URL to continue). This way the filtering logic is done by the web application and the "client" would handle the filtering. **Developer Requirements** We need a developer who understands the TCP/IP protocol thoroughly and also the Windows 9x and higher architecture. You will also need to understand the HTTP/HTTPS protocols thoroughly to decompile the requests. We also need you to understand and communicate fluently in English. **Please do not bid on this project unless you've developed other firewall applications and can develop a extremely stable firewall that works in all environments. We need an experienced developer(s).** **Other Requirements** -- **Must** work with Windows 98/98SE, ME, 2000, XP, 2003 -- Firewall must be **very** fast so as not to slow down networking traffic -- The application must be designed exclusively for us and not be reused in other projects -- **Full error handling**. This application must be designed with reliability in mind. The program must return complete error messages for faults (errors connecting to the web application, etc). **Full details of the project are included in the attached document. All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
