I need a MSSQL query (that I'll use on a number of tables) that will strip out complex HTML tags and replace them with simplified versions.
The current text fields are populated with all kinds of HTML code garnered from email messages and such. I want to strip out everything except...
<html>...<p>...</html>
The important thing is preserving the paragraphs. All of the line breaks and paragraphs -- especially the multiples -- need to be replaced with a single line break or paragraph.
Since these are emails, some lines begin with >> and these need to be preserved.
