Custom OpenBSD Release

The requirements of this project are to customize an OpenBSD release to optimize it for use in a firewall environment. The release should be built using the stable branch of OpenBSD 3.7 and should have non essential components removed, such as NIS services, portmap, sendmail, bind. A more detailed list of components will need to be established before the release is built. Just to clarify, we actually wish to have these components removed from the release, rather than disabled. We also have a small set of files we wish to include in the base installation, as well as a couple of packages compiled from source. Hopefully we can use the [login to view URL] method outlined in the OpenBSD documentation to apply these changes. This process must be fully scripted and documented, as we will be building the release to run on multiple platforms, such as I386 and AMD64. We will also need the flexibility of rebuilding the release when future updates to OpenBSD are released, such as 3.8. The idea is to host the release files on our central web server, where we can install them to multiple firewalls using the standard OpenBSD installation procedure, obviously using our own server as the mirror location. Obviously this project requires an individual with a good working knowledge of the OpenBSD release system, and a background in general OpenBSD administration. Script to automate the process of reproducing the customized release in our own development environment. 3.
