I have a simple android application that connects to our shoutcast radio station. Currently it requires an account to login and stream music. I would like to remove that limitation for the next release, but need to 'disable' the 'rating' and 'favorite' functionality if a user does not login. This way, new users can use the application without signing up for an account, but they just won't be able to use the account-related features like 'favoriting' artists or rating songs. I would also like to make a couple of small housekeeping items (change an icon, reposition some text, update some text...but no new functionality here).
According to our android market statistics, we are only retaining about 1/3 of installations and we believe it's due to the login requirement.
I am also interested in porting this application to iPhone (as a future project) and would like to consider the impact of that when modifying the login functionality.
I have the latest source code and will provide it to the awarded bidder.
