I'm a Software Architect, currently working with these technologies at my full-time job. For the project, I'd go with JAX-RS (I'm thinking Jersey) and just use a JAXB provider to map the incoming xml to an object. For the database I'd use JPA2 (Hibernate, or EclipseLink if you prefer).

Hi, I didn't get exactly "process xml into database". Which database? I think all database doesn't have xml processing inside database. Like in oracle if we store that xml as XMLType, storage as CLOB. then we can give some input through web service which will process xml inside database. Is that your requirement? if yes then could you please let me know what kind of precessing and what is that xml (or xsd). thanks Satyajit
