Judging from the problem explained above, possible problems might be from Javascript from the client side , PHP on the server or Mysql from th DBMS. i work effectively with all.

i am assuming you are using a mysql db and using mysqli to connect. The result generated is a null, so it could be a connection issue or a query issue. If i can look at your code it can be a simple 1-2 hrs of debugging. I have been working with php since the days of php4 and zend engines so am guessing this will be an easy task
