Shopify Custom Option Function

We need to implement a feature to a shopify store which will provide the user the ability to add a custom name , thread colour with the option to add an additional line of text based at an additional cost. When the user changes the quantity the amount of inputs should reflect i.e if they choose 2 shirts they are shown the options twice. When they click on add to cart all the data will be captured and shown on the cart page. This will be applicable to a few items so the function should be easily replicated. I know the majority of this can be done via product customization apps but I would like the flexibility to add more in the future. We have our own inhouse dev (who is super busy right now) so any silly estimations of time will also be rejected.
