Final Report Part A Size: Min. 20 pages Part A: take a macro perspective of a recent innovation in a particular industry, and work backwards through the phases. Principle objective for student reports is to DESCRIBE - what, how, when, where, who. Choose an industry: - Food & beverage / agriculture - Health care (pharmacutuicals) - Dotconomy (gaming, e-business etc) Choose a type of innovation: process innovation, materials innovation, product innovation, organizational innovation, innovative thinking. Working backwards (exploitation=>executing=>exploration) describe the different phases of the innovation. The final report is the application of the textbook theory, starting from a specific industry to a specific company to a specific innovation. Describe both the general industry insights regarding innovation and the way that a successful company innovated. Describe all attributes and aspects of this type of innovation; i.e. advantages for consumers and or producer. Include competitors in your analysis. Key questions which you must seeek to answer also include the business model the company has chosen to generate revenues (patents, copyrights, licensing, distribtion, retailing, leasing .......?)
