Hello, I'm a mechanical engineer and I have a lot of experience in 3D modelling. I was involved in the Formula Student team from my University and since we had to design a new car each year, the project you propose is very familiar to me. Using Solidworks I designed the transmission of the car (the existing one and then I designed a new one), the whole electrical system (wires, connectors, actuators, coils, battery,etc...) and the steering wheel hub (F1 style with all the needed sensors).
